Established in 1975, 32KM from Kuching, Semenggoh Wildlife Centre is an ideal place to watch orangutan (great ape) in semi-natural conditions.
This center is home to semi-wild orangutan found either injured, orphaned in the forest, or rescued from captivity and trained to survive in the surround forest reserve. (Sighting cannot be guaranteed as orang-utan are semi-wild and free to roam in the center)
