Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre

Established in 1975, 32KM from Kuching, Semenggoh Wildlife Centre is an ideal place to watch orangutan (great ape) in semi-natural conditions.


This center is home to semi-wild orangutan found either injured, orphaned in the forest, or rescued from captivity and trained to survive in the surround forest reserve. (Sighting cannot be guaranteed as orang-utan are semi-wild and free to roam in the center)



Pickup: 8:00 am ( At City Center Hotel )

Drop Off: 11:00 am

Duration: 3 hours ( RM 90/- per person )

Departure: Daily Departure ( Minimum 2 adults )

Distance: 20 KM from Kuching City

Feeding Time: 9 am - 10 am & 3 pm - 4 pm

  • 8.00am Pick up from city hotel (Meet at Lobby)

  • 30 minutes journey

  • 8.30 am Arrive at Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

  • Guide tour around the center

  • Watch the orangutan at feeding time (sighting not guarantee)

  • 11.00am Drop off at City hotel

  • Child age 3-11 years old 50% of adult fare
